The seemingly never ending story regarding Luka Modric's acquisition finally concluded with the Croatian Midfielder set for a move to Real Madrid. Although rumors swirled for more than one year, both sides can finally move on. It's a good move for Tottenham. Modric was not happy there. They recevied an enormous amount of money for him as well. They have the funds to shop the market for several players that can
immediately help them. I don't understand the move from Real Madrid's perspective. Yes, he adds depth, but is Modric worth $52 million dollars? I don't think so. There are very few players worth that type of money, and while Modric is a very good player, he is not in that class. We'll find out during the next Clasico, when Madrid takes on rival Barcelona. In the end, that's the only thing Madrid's concerned about.
